Prestatyn and Clwydian Range Walking Festival
Gŵyl Gerdded Prestatyn a Bryniau Clwyd

May 24-26 Mai 2024

Welcome/Croeso

Welcome to our 2024 Prestatyn & Clwydian Range Walking Festival.  This year we have 26 FREE guided walks for all ages and abilities plus a fantastic inter-active talk with an actual sled dog (a dog that pulls a sled in North Wales) with a fascinating talk from their owner, Joe on Friday 24 May. You must book this talk to secure a place, but can pay the £5 when you arrive.

It’s amazing to think our popular Festival is now in its 19th year and is not only recognised as one of the best in Wales, but the whole of the UK. That’s some accolade!

Full details of this year’s programme, how to book and pay for any walks which carry a fee for refreshments or transport, can be found by clicking on the links left for each of the 3 days. General info on the Festival can be found on the links below.

Our Festival theme this year is “Coast, Hills and Countryside”, which “does what it says on the tin” as far as our wonderful location is concerned. New walks to look out for: Beatrix Potters The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies (Fri) and a very special visit to Roman “Park in the Past” and an authentically reconstructed Auxiliary Roman Fort called Auxilia. There’s 120 acres to explore in addition to Roman Re-enactors from far and wide, who will be on hand to answer any questions (Sunday).
